Meet Janelle Marra
As a Lead Teacher of Siwa Murti in the United States, Janelle Marra has been instrumental in the spread of this modality. She was introduced to Siwa Murti in 2018 and joined the first group of Americans traveling to Bali to study. There she trained under the tutelage of Ratu Nabe, Master Teacher and originator of Siwa Murti, and was initiated as a Gana Usadha level practitioner. She returned in subsequent years to expand her training and was given the permission and blessing to teach in 2020. She was ultimately named as one of three Lead Teachers and now, alongside her two colleagues, facilitates foundational training courses, advanced level study, and annual training intensives in Bali.
Background
In addition to her work with Siwa Murti, Janelle is a certified Birth Doula and the co-creator of Soulsway Practice, which seeks to empower bodies through movement and meditation. She maintains a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California and has certifications in birth work, trauma-informed somatics, sensual embodiment and Reiki. She has spent nearly two decades cultivating a deep intuitive understanding of the human body and Siwa Murti has provided the opportunity to be of service to a wider sphere of individuals and families. Through her varied yet interconnected lines of work, Janelle’s soul-mission is to help bring people towards greater health and well-being, while empowering them to live in fully owned and vibrant bodies.
